Old notebook and netbook
So, came the day that in my work environment to come back full-sized or popular netbook laptop. Earlier I was kind of serious work was impossible without the desktop machine. Laptop was there purely as a tool for some things that you should stop when I'm on the road. As such, it portable computer had a completely different primary purpose: multimedia on the move. That was the main reason why I got rid of bulky laptop satarog and took a new laptop that I could use just that - he always carried with him. Of course, talking about the little guy called the Eee PC . Netbook I in combination with the 3G connection to the Internet was the ideal solution for all those little things that I worked on a laptop: Surf the Web, e-mail, twitter, chat, music, movies, copying pictures from digital camera and the like. Netbook is still the ideal solution for all these pursuits, and that includes 90% of the things that are portable computers are used. However, the only thing that is quite uncomfortable some serious work when it asked the programming or the like. That's why reših to restore the notebook among his tools.
Requirements
As in recent years, notebooks have become very accessible masses due to increased sales, lower prices and Malta are not minimal difference in performance compared to desktop computers, laptops can be a solid buy for around 500 €. In this price class specifications in the bids of all the manufacturers are pretty uniform, so I require more than just paying attention to accessories, the build quality and components, as well as design, ie. appearance of the computer. As far as some hardware details into account the following occurred:
- CPU: Intel Core2Duo / AMD X2 - dual core processor any (except Celeron and Atom) 2GHz or more
- RAM: 2GB or more - is the least expensive memory upgrade so you can always easily add
- HDD: 250GB or more - that already have an external hard drive, 250GB is more than enough
- GPU: ATI / Nvidia - anything other than Intel graphics

- LCD: 14 "-16" - as I already have a netbook, everything below that I was too little, everything beyond that is too big
- In addition, the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Card Reader, HDMI, Webcam, U.S. keyboard
- Additional options: eSATA, HSDPA, VGA-out, FireWire, Multimedia Keys, TV-out, Infrared, no OS.
Since I immediately wrote off brands: Acer, and MSI for quality workmanship and components, Lenovo and Fujitsu Siemens for (ćoškastog) design, Apple and Sony because of the price ... So I took into account ASUS, Toshiba, Dell and HP.
The search for the right
Those who have followed on Twitter , know of the story of how I have the worst time this fall (officially winter yet been reached) visited all the shops in search of computer equipment for the laptops that I included in the final selection. Originally I planned to do the over the net, but it turned out that the sites (especially those involving the whole market offer), and very un-updated information on them is quite incorrect. Either way, I was reminded of his old geekovskih day I knew for one component to walk the entire city, and quite often go to another.
Shortlist
The shortlist has entered the 4 models. Of that 1 and 3 Dell and ASUS. The problem was that the Dell's do not exist classical models, but four main series, so when ordering (only) through the site select the desired configuration. All this would be ideal not only in Serbia. Who knows when and how to arrive and what would be the duty of tax and customs. Dell is otherwise strong imports weaken with us, and a further choice practically impossible. With ASUS's only because they have Zilion chaos and all models are similar. I also saw two identical configurations, side by side, from a completely different series with the price of some few thousand. Finally, the appearance of yet ruled on the side of Dell and reših to look for some of the Dell Studio 15 model that is closest to the required specifications.
The real and only
After two days of search and visit almost all the shops in Belgrade, as well as telephone shops in Novi Sad and Nis, I dug the last model which remained in the store. In PC4U across from my faculty, I found a notebook with the closest to what I wanted: Dell Studio 1537 - C2D 2GHz, 2GB, 250 GB, ATI GPU, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, FW, with a U.S. keyboard, no OS ...
